What Do You See? collects only what is needed to exist as a work.

When you submit a response, the site stores three things: the text you wrote (max 280 characters), a context code that identifies where the QR code was distributed, and a timestamp.

That is all. No name, no email, no IP address, no location, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party services. Your response cannot be linked back to you.

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages and the database on Supabase. As infrastructure providers, they may log technical request metadata for short periods. This data is not accessible to the artist and is not used in the work.

The collected texts may become part of a future work — visual, textual, vocal, or another form. Each response is treated as a contribution to a shared corpus.

To request removal, write to hello@whatdoyousee.io with the approximate text and date of your submission.
